MDC V04 IP

Unlimited architecture

The system works on the basis of voice transmission VoIP providing unlimited number of voice and data channels. This makes possible to build any system architecture at the stage of design and implementation. In the future the system can be easily modified and expanded according to user requirements and needs.

Colour graphic display with a touch screen

Staff terminal and Client terminal are equipped with a 12″ colour display with a touch screen that ensures the intuitive operation via pictograms. The intuitive operating concept provides high comfort for staff and clients when using the terminals.

Remote administration and upgrade

The concept of system administration and maintenance is based on remote access via Internet. Remote administration allows to diagnose a defect or a problem with system operation, data maintenance, system configuration or reconfiguration. It is also possible to update or upgrade any system software.

Self-diagnostic functions

Reliability of system operation is ensured, among other things, by self-diagnostic functions that ensure system monitoring. In case of disconnected or defective units this condition is indicated. All errors and defects are transmitted in real time, with an emphasis on their immediate removal.

RFID registration

The staff registration in the system is standardly realized by the registration buttons. This registration is anonymous without the possibility to identify medical staff. To have a control over the system operation you can choose RFID tags and readers for staff registration. This functionality allows you to identify staff individually according to the assigned tags. Also identification of different levels of staff – physicians, nurses, support staff, etc. – is possible.

Code blue

In the system it is possible to activate „Blue code“, that indicates a patient requiring immediate resuscitation.

Data storage

Recording and storage of all activities in the system (client calls, call connections, registrations, alarms, etc.) with the option to view them on the display unit of the staff terminal or on a PC.

Control of room equipment

An option to control TV, Venetian blinds or Internet radio by the client´s  units.

Protection against power failure

In the event of a power outage all data is protected and uninterruptible power supply keeps the system running until the central backup source is started.

Non-destructive connectors

To protect client´s units from mechanical damage, magnetic non-destructive connectors can be used for event of strain in any direction.

Voice navigation

The transmission of the caller ID through audio signal.

Displaying of data

Displaying of data on clients and movement of staff on a 12“ colour graphic display with a touch screen on staff terminal.

Integration with other systems

An option of integration with other systems used in health care facilities (fire alarm, security alarm, databases, etc.).

Staff presence monitoring

The staff registration on registration units allows to be constantly informed about movement of staff. This information is displayed in real time on the staff terminal and on units with display, and stored with an option of back viewing.

Integration of IP cameras

The system allows integration of IP cameras with image transfer to the staff terminal. This functionality is very often used in combination with the entrance communication units -replacement of the door videophone.

This staff element provides control, monitoring, configuration and administration of the whole system. It is connected to the system through the Ethernet socket (ZE IP).

It is an element in the wall or desktop version . Calls from beds are preferentially transmitted to this unit and if they are not settled by a predetermined time, they are further transmitted to the whole system. The unit makes possible to connect up 4 wards together.  It is equipped with a button of muted call.

This element in wall-mounted design is used for devolution of the system. It is useful for example in the intensive care units or in rooms with a constant nurse supervision. Calls from these beds are preferentially transmitted only to this unit and if they are not settled by a predetermined time, they are further transmitted to the whole system.

This element in the shape of a telephone receiver is usually placed next to a patient’s or client’s bed. It can be connected to the system in two ways: as a standard by a connector built in Bedside unit bracket with connector IP or via a connector in Extension user´s socket IP if the system is a part of bed head units. In the later case, Bedside unit bracket without connector IP is also a part of the delivery.

The relay module provides connection between controlling device and light or other equipment.

Using LJD IP, it is possible to control the lighting on bedside unit or in the room, Relay module for lighting IP (110115) provides connection between the controlling device and light.

From the loudspeaker of LJD IP it is possible to listen to TV. For transferring sound from TV to the MDC V04 IP system TV interface IP (110160) is used.

This is a switch with a vintage phone cord. It is connected to ZVST IP, ZU IP, ZLJK IP, ZLJR IP, ZUR IP, KJ IP or KJD IP via a connector.

It is used  for connection of Pneumatic switch 110420 (the element consists of air ballon and a tube for diaphragm switch control in extremely humid environment or in spa / rehabilitation bathtubs. The balloon can float in water).

In connection with Signalling unit IP or Communication unit IP  it enables to send  emergency call to the system.

It is ususally installed above or next to a bathtub, or wherever else needed.

It is an 32″ information monitor which is usually installed in the corridor. The monitor displays information about individual calls – address of the place of call activation, type of call, caller´s name, medical alarm,  presence, date/time.

This element is used in bathrooms and toilets (if these are not a part of a bed room) or in places of temporary staff presence to which acoustic signals from the system need to be redirected.

Input SBUS module IP (MV SBUS IP – 110480) provides connection between external devices (fire alarm system, etc.) and
MDCV 04 IP system. It is used wherever you need to connect an external device to switch on potential-free contact .

Socket for external device (ZEZ IP – 110481) is fully analogous to the Input SBUS module IP, it is equipped with a RJ11 connector.

The Ethernet socket is used as an interface for connecting of the Staff terminal IP Acrios (TP IP), Signalling staff terminal (TPS IP) desktop variant, Staff unit with display (SJD IP) desktop variant, to the system bus.

The element is used in places that are exposed to weather influences (entrance to buildings) and it is used especially by visitors. It is provided as a whole including its metal casing.

This electronic device along with Outdoor entrance communication unit 2 IP Acrios makes up one functional whole. It is never installed outdoor but always near the outdoor entrance communication unit.

It does not contain any controls.

The element is used to create a voltage to control the electric lock. Installation in the interior only.

Electric lock is not a part of the MediCall system supply.

IP camera is used for video transmission from the requested places in the object to the Staff terminal IP Acrios, for example entrance door to the ward or building. IP camera is usually used together with Entrance communication unit IP.

Wireless staff unit IP 110600 BSJ IP

The wireless staff unit consists of a base station and a handset.

Base station is a part of the set, which ensures communication with the wireless handset, communication over the local area network (LAN) provided with the router (switch), and making phone calls using ATE. The range of gigaset base station is limited, up to 50 m indoors, the range is reduced when ECO mode is activated. Power supply is realized from the backbone line of the MediCall system by connection via power adapter, which is part of the set.

Handset is a receiving apparatus, providing connection with the base station. Handset charger is a part of the set.The wireless staff unit is a standart mobile phone, which is connected to the system via the base station. It can be used in staff´s rooms, or in the place of staff terminal installation. The element enables staff members movements within the range of the mobile phone  while maintaining the availability of immediate care and help.

Repeater for BSJ IP (110601)  is used for increasing the range of Gigaset Base station and at the same time it extends the reception range of the handsets. Within such an extended area it is possible to use all the features as on the base station.

Management centre VoIP Acrios 110041 SSV IP

It is the central element for control and administration of the system.

Switch 8 ports ( SW8 – 110660) is a part of delivery, for connection of  each branch of the system wiring.

Uninterruptible power supply for SSV  (ZZ – 110690) provides emergency power to the server when the input power source or mains power fails, and it also protects the server from overvoltage.

Data rack TRITON 19″ 6U (DR6 – 110790) for mounting multiple electronic equipment modules – server SSV IP, switch devices (data switch is a part of server supply), size of rack  6U with removable side panels, IP30 protection.

Analog/VoiP gateway IP (AVB IP – 110810) ensures the connection of the system with public telephone networks.

GSM gateway SMS IP Acrios (GSM SMS IP – 110852) ensures the connection of the MDC V04 IP system with the GSM network.

Detection gate module IP (MDB IP – 110861) monitors persons leaving the given sector or building without permission. Antenna for detection gate module IP (AMDB IP – 110862).

Pager base station (PU – 110670), Text pager (PT – 110680), Control panel of pager IP  (OPP IP – 110675) – these elements ensure signal transfer from the MDC V04 IP system. The information is transmitted in text form to the Text pager.

Audio program module IP 110520 MAP IP

It is a source of entertainment program (2 FM channels), which is transmitted to the system.

This is a stand-alone unit, its input is connected to the main and its output to the supply leadwire. Input requirements: 1+N+PE 230V/50Hz. Main power supply leadwires must be secured by a separate 6A circuit breaker.
